"Sun" (2023) by artist Julia Policastro is a sculptural oil painting on canvas with a bright orange sun as its focal point. From the sun's center, the rays radiate outward in an orange to yellow gradient. The vantage point of the viewer is looking upwards at the sun through the gridded windows of an atrium. The painting is trimmed with a thick circular frame made of foam core and plaster and measures 14" diameter by 2" deep.
