Julian Tejera is a contemporary realist from New Jersey who feels that there is magic to little everyday, quiet moments we may take for granted. He paints because that is the way he knows best to honor the life we've been given. Whether working from life or from photos, his keen eye for design, shapes, and color allows his surfaces to become a playground for texture and experimentation. Life informs art, and, in a beautiful synchronicity, art informs life.
Since 2009, Julian has been inspiring teen and adult students to dig deep and bring out their best work possible as a teacher. At present he continues to work with adults at the Montclair Art Museum, and is an adjunct professor at both Montclair State University and Caldwell university. He teaches online privately and as a mentor through Mastrius.

Julián Tejera es un realista contemporáneo de Nueva Jersey que siente que hay magia en los pequeños momentos cotidianos y tranquilos que podemos dar por sentado. Pinta porque esa es la forma que mejor sabe honrar la vida que se nos ha dado. Ya sea que trabaje a partir de la vida real o de fotografías, su buen ojo para el diseño, las formas y el color permite que sus superficies se conviertan en un patio de recreo para la textura y la experimentación. La vida informa al arte y, en una hermosa sincronicidad, el arte informa a la vida.
Desde 2009, Julian ha estado inspirando a estudiantes adolescentes y adultos a profundizar y sacar su mejor trabajo posible como maestro. En la actualidad continúa trabajando con adultos en el Museo de Arte de Montclair y es profesor adjunto tanto en la Universidad Estatal de Montclair como en la Universidad de Caldwell. Enseña en línea de forma privada y como mentor a través de Mastrius.
