Justyna Kisielewicz's elaborate, vibrant and full of zest, oil on European linen painting depicts a young woman — in this cast, the artist herself — in California, The figure wears vivid clothing and a transparent sun visor emblazoned with the word California. Justyna Kisielewicz shares her unique perspective on learning about the west from Polish TV, and eventually arriving in the USA herself. Her work considers Western mass culture, consumption, and capitalism; as well as state of the world issues.
