About the Item

Katrina Revenaugh Bee Mindful No. 1 Archival Pigment Ink, Acrylic, Spray Paint and Oil Pastel on Stretched Belgian Linen with a Matte Varnish Year: 2021 Size: 46x36in Signed: On Verso COA provided Ref.: 924802-1934 *on stretcher frame - ready to hang ** framing options available - please inquire Tags: Bees, Belgian Linen, Blue, Botanical, Botanical Art, Cream, Ferns, Floral, Graffiti, Green, Leaves, Mixed Media, Organic, Pink, Roses, Soft, Street Art, White, Yellow, Zen, Zen Mixed Media Part of the Zen Garden Collection, Bee Mindful is all about calm. When creating this work, I hoped to evoke feelings of garden bliss, of how hushed a garden feels—moments of Zen when the natural world is awakening or winding down. Soft yet vibrant colors, fluid backgrounds and lush, dreamy layers are meant to gently pull the viewer into a Zen garden experience. Raw Belgian linen with a soft matte varnish gives this work a truly organic feel with a delicate balance between street art and botanicals.

The artwork is signed, dated and titled. Original artwork with signed Certificate of Authenticity. My artworks are a result of years of studying spiritual books written by Eckhart Tolle. Eckhart Tolle, a spiritual teacher and author, often uses flowers as a metaphor for living in the present moment, which is a central concept in his philosophy. He notes that a flower doesn't think about the past or the future; it simply exists in the present moment, fully expressing its beauty and essence. By observing and appreciating a flower, we can learn to live more fully in the present moment and experience the beauty of life around us. In Tolle's view, flowers can also remind us of the interconnectedness of all things. A flower is not separate from its environment; it relies on the sun, the soil, and other elements to grow and thrive. Similarly, we are not separate from the world around us; we are part of a larger interconnected web of life. By recognizing this interconnectedness, we can develop a greater sense of empathy and compassion for all living beings.
