About the artist:
Lily Rossignol was born in Paris in 1859 she studied drawing and painting under André Favory. Starting in 1929, she has exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Indépendants, Salon des Tuileries and Salon d'Automne. Her work is very rare to find, as she produced a very limited quantity of paintings and drawings during her life. She died in 1936. One of her painting “Castel San Angelo, Italy” sold at Christies in 1991 for $9350.00
