About the Item

This piece was heavily inspired by Caravaggio and has lots of symbolism scattered throughout the painting. Most of the decisions made by the artists in this piece all have a meaning, and many of them tie with Christian symbolism. The figures in the painting are people the artist knew and was friends with during his teen years. This painting is done using acrylic paint, with a very thin layer applied. The technique used for the painting is chiaroscuro, using strong contrasts of light to depict the image and create a more dramatic effect.
