Georges Dayez (French, 1907-1991). “Vendimia” Vintage / Grape Harvest / Wine Harvest , Oil on paper, 20”x 26 1/3, framed 27 1/4 x 33 1/4.
Dayez was a mid-19th century painter who studied with and worked for Andre Lhote and other cubist painters of the period. His art is in the collections of museums in Paris, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, more and his works have auctioned at Christie's in excess of $7,500. with retail valuations considerably higher.
