From Macauley Norman's solo exhibition, CRYPTIC CLUTTER, "Bulletin Board" is an incredible and unique installation-style figurative, pop surrealist piece featuring over 15 traditional and 3D drawings made with PLA plastic filament and gel pen on archival paper affixed with pins to a bulletin board. Among the imagery are a panoply of pop culture references from the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern hemispheres -- Nacho Libre, egrets, nineties-era pornography, a classic Matisse painting, diagrams of Tai Chi forms, an eagle, a yin yang symbol, a multicolor skull, the Wolverine, Betty Boop, Alien, Nike sneaker, tattoo flash art style skull with snake, a horse, various skyscapes/landscapes, several eagles in flight, text, etc.
Color palette: pastels, glitter metallics, bright and vivid pink, blue, green, yellow, red, brown, peach, black, white, gold and silver.
Frame included but additional custom framing available as well upon request.
