In this painting Marten Huitsing paints a just married female couple.
The sympathetic artist got national fame because of a Dutch TV show where he painted a Dutch TV host/TV personality. The model, Mart Smeets was overwhelmed, praising his comments. Rightly so!
From that moment on, Marten Huitsing's work has gained increasing popularity, he is an annually returning artist on the renowned PAN and he can hardly cope with the demand for new work.
The models in his paintings are 'real women' and tell their own story. We like to call an artist as Martin Huitsing a story teller. From these two women he painted more paintings as you can see on 1stDibs too.
