About the Item
Artist Comments
In this glowing portrait, artist Mary Pratt shows a fashionable woman surrounded by a blooming summer garden. Working with palette knives, Mary created this soft and delightful piece in hues of red and yellow. The colors evoke a warm and inviting feel along with the figure's smile that expresses content and happiness. "I pushed warmer color to accentuate the woman as she reaches down to pick the flowers," explains Mary.
