Nafir is a self-taught Iranian artist born in Tehran whose works are influenced by traditional Iranian art and culture. His work consists on painting with stencils and sprays on typical objects from Persian culture, like carpets and ceramics. In his artworks, Nafir integrates the existing Persian patterns of traditional objects into his new work, creating a symbiosis of old and new. Every work is unique. They can be found all around the globe, in Iran, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Italy, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, India and Georgia. Nafir tries to use his street art to talk with people about social and political problems.
