Né en 1964 à Montélimar, Pascal intègre le monde du travail à 16 ans. Poussé par sa passion de l’art, il réalise parallèlement ses premières expositions. Puis, "parce-que la peinture ne se partage pas", l’artiste décide d’ouvrir son atelier-galerie dans le Gard. Il s’y essaie à de nombreuses techniques : de l’aquarelle à la lithographie en passant par l’encre de Chine, il se forme et satisfait sa curiosité artistique. Au bout de sept ans, il quitte son atelier-vitrine pour peindre chez lui, en toute tranquillité. Une fois de plus, sa curiosité le pousse à explorer de nouveaux horizons, mais cette fois c’est par le voyage que l’artiste assouvira sa soif de découvertes. Grand observateur de la condition humaine, il se fait témoin de la cruauté et de la mort comme du bonheur et de la vie. Pascal restera cinq ans au Mexique où il participe à de nombreuses expositions et abandonne définitivement l’abstraction pour la figuration. De retour en France, il ne quitte plus ses personnages.

Born in Granville, France, on April 14, 1968, François Benoît-Lison began with a figurative approach, which gradually evolved into abstraction, first lyrical, then more contrasting, where black reigns supreme. Black is a sacred color, sometimes dark, sometimes dazzling, without limits, it can be dominant or gentle.
After acrylics and oils, bituminous pastes and inks opened another door, that of the abstract, much more profound and contemporary, with the possibility of working these materials in many aspects and forms.
