Patrice Breteau
Tornado

2012

About

Tornado is a black painting made by Patrice Breteau, a French contemporary artist. Breteau creates relief, texture and gives a living aspect to his mixed media pieces by using various materials and mastering the use of airbrush giving a kinetic influence to his work. A bright halo seems to burst from the piece itself as if it was backlighted. The artist expresses his imagination turned towards new discoveries and the future of humanity through the representation cosmical worlds, landscapes and planets. Going beyond kinetic art, he creates new rules where light predominates, combining it with chromatic variations, lines and shapes for the ultimate harmony. Dimensions: H. 63 in. x W. 63 in.
