by Paul-Louis Bolot (French 1918-2003) original gouache painting on thick paper/ card unframed condition: very good and sound; the edges have a few curls and scuffs/ edge tears which should all cover once flattened or framed. provenance: all the paintings we have by this artist have come from the artists estate in France. measurements- 25.5 x 19.5 inches Part of the Modernist school of the twentieth century, Bolot returned to the Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1936. He was part of the famous Group "ESPACE" in the 50s of André BLOC (1896-1966) which brings together many Artists, including: Sonia DELAUNNAY, Fernand LEGER, Serge POLIAKOFF, Jean PROUVÉ, Victor VASARELY, and his sculptor friend Maxime DESCOMBIN (1909-2003).
