About the Item
Like Swimming In A Quarry - 120 feet and dark in the middle. One of Wadsworth's celebrated & innovative Black Cloth series. His sitters pose with a large black cloth & talk about what they're feeling during the experience. Wadsworth then paints the sitter in their chosen "guise", sometimes also recording their voices. The sitter then passes the black cloth to another person and the cycle continues. Ink, watercolour, white oil bar and graphite.

He has exhibited and travelled widely, particularly in the Middle East. Currently based in Cornwall in the South West of England Wadsworth paints abstract images of his surroundings. He is also a tutor and teacher at the Newlyn School of Art.
