About the Item

Born in Beirut in 1973, Yedalian is a Lebanese-Armenian painter and sculptor. He studied Etching at the Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts “ALBA”, and Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Art Toros Roslin. Some of the artist’s works are on view in permanent collections including: Sursock Museum (Beirut), Vatican City (Rome), Modern and Contemporary Art Museum “MACAM” (Lebanon), Museum of the Shrine of Fatima (Portugal), Museum of The Armenian Genocide (Armenia), Museum of the Convent of Bzommar (Lebanon), Museum of the Great House of Cilicia (Lebanon), and many more throughout the world. For the artist, "Introspection" is an exploration of the subtle yet powerful forces that shape our consciousness. It is an invitation to pause and reflect, to find stillness amidst the chaos, and to embrace the beauty of our inner worlds. Through this collection, we delve into the essence of being, unraveling the layers of thought and emotion that define our human experience. It serves as a mirror to our innermost selves, capturing the ephemeral nature of our thoughts and feelings. It encourages a journey beyond the surface, where we confront the complexities and contradictions that reside within. In this space of reflection, we encounter the duality of existence—the coexistence of light and shadow, certainty and doubt, serenity and turmoil. The act of introspection is a profound philosophical endeavor. It challenges us to question our perceptions, to seek understanding beyond the immediate and the tangible. As we engage with these artworks, we are reminded of the impermanent nature of our experiences and the fluidity of our identities. This exploration invites us to embrace the unknown, find meaning in ambiguity, and recognize the interconnectedness of all aspects of our being. Through this journey of introspection, we discover the beauty and complexity of our inner worlds. We gain insight into the forces that shape our consciousness and our place in the universe, inspiring you to connect with your own introspective thoughts, find solace in quiet moments of reflection, and foster a greater understanding of the self

Giselle Borrás is a Colombian born artist who has lived and worked in Colombia, Spain and the United States of America. The end results of her work are these subtle and weightless figures, created from maintaining the painting process spontaneous, filled with innocence and yet providing the viewer much force, energy and presence. Her colors remain consistent, always vibrant and bold, and the painting is finished when the idea has become a complete discussion. Art is a language spoken with fluency by this up and coming artist...
