About the Item
I have just taken this painting back into stock. It was painted back in the 1980,90s and the location is a meadow at Priors Halton so it is looking towards Clee Hill. (Near Ludlow in Shropshire) The colours are lovely and soft and i have to say, it has a really lovely, peaceful feel to it.
The models are the artist's daughter Lizzie and her friend and was one of a number that he painted of her when he lived at Priors Halton. Lizzie featured in many of his paintings from bucolic landscapes to his iconic beach scenes.
This is an oil painting on canvas with his usual unique way of priming the canvas which has lots of texture and the paint is applied with lots of impasto.
A real beauty of a painting in a gorgeous handmade Impressionist style frame, ready to hang - looks beautiful in any surroundings old houses or modern!
