Large oil on canvas mounted on stretchers and framed in gold leaf frame. A beautiful oil painting in an Impressionist style, heavy paint application with lots of impasto. This painting is one of the most popular I have handled, everybody loves it, it is either themselves, their wife/girlfriend or someone they know! We sold out the Limited Edition run of this painting - this is the original!
"Lady in Red" was painted from life with a friend of the artist , Mandy, used as his model. Painted in the studio with some Pat Metheney music in the background and real Champagne! The painting has been reproduced as a small run Limited Edition giclee print and has nearly sold out.
It is incredibly enigmatic and has a moody presence. Presented in a beautiful handmade gold leaf frame.

Rene Legrand Born in Singapore of Swiss parents. Moved to the UK in his formative years and studied old master techniques at the Slade School of Art.
Legrand has been a full time painter all his life, mostly figurative work and landscapes of Venice and other interesting locations.
