Born in Paris in 1897 and died in 1976 in Paris.
20th century. French.
Painter of figures, nudes, portraits, landscape, still life, flowers.
Pupil of Louis Anquetin, he was encouraged, from his beginnings in 1920, by the critics and historians of art Louis Vauxcelles, Elie Faure and Joaquim Gasquet.
In 1921 he was appointed member of the Salon d'Automne and subsequently appeared in various Parisian fairs where he obtained some success. Exhibitions in Paris from 1926. In 1932 he stayed at the Casa Velasquez in Madrid.
Painter of portraits, nudes, figures, also know for his flowers and landscapes. In particular: Villeneuve-les-Avignon. The museum of Versailles commissioned him to commemorate the funeral of President Painleve.
