Miguel RIVERA BAGUR. 1919-1993 Baleares artist. Spain. Chief Representative of the art Naif in Spain.
His work is characterized by the precision of his portraits, especially in gesture, and his landscapes. "Rivera Bagur is considered a pioneer and one of the most outstanding representatives of naive painting in Spain", The artist maintained a great friendship with important figures of Spanish culture of the last century, such as Joan Miró and Camilo José Cela, Miró, for his part, encouraged him to continue painting.

Rivera Bagur enrolled almost at the beginning of his career in the Artistic Movement of the Mediterranean. His works were published in the sixties in different North and South American cities, such as Ohio, New York, Chicago and Caracas and in other European ones, such as Bonn, Bremen, Paris, Barcelona, Basel, Milan and Madrid. Precisely in the Museum of Contemporary Art in the capital, some of the works of this Majorcan artist can be admired.
