Russell Sambrook: 1891-1956. Well listed American illustrator with auction results as high as $23,900. This fantastic illustration is an oil on board. I believe this was used for an Eveready flashlight battery advertisement in the 1940s but I do not know whether it was ever a cover. Adorable scene of young boy who by the look of it has not made any lemonade sales all day. Darkness has come and his loyal dog has stayed with him all day. painting measures 9 inches high by 6 1/2 wide. Frame is 14 by 11.
