About the Item

I live in exactly such a period - summer garden, listening to myself. This is when the pain we are all experiencing today and the worries are gradually smoothed out. The sun is rising at five o'clock, a cup of coffee, chirping birds. This painting came out like an immersion in a fairy tale, in a summer meadow, with flowers and heat. It is like meditation, lying in the grass. In her latest series, "Tales of Existence," the artist delves into the intricate tapestry of a woman's emotional landscape during the tumultuous times of war. This body of work is a profound exploration of her quest for stability and peace, capturing her intimate connection with nature and the fantastical creatures that inhabit her world. Drawing inspiration from her personal experiences and the collective struggles faced by her country, the artist creates a visual narrative that intertwines the realities of human existence with the whimsical elements of folklore. The series serves as a sanctuary where the primal and the mystical converge, offering a space for introspection and solace. Each painting in "Tales of Existence" features enchanting animals and birds, rendered in a primitive style, journeying and interacting with the central female figure. These creatures are not merely ornamental but symbolic, representing the virtues, vices, and elemental forces that influence her path. Through their interactions, the artist portrays the woman’s resilience, wisdom, and her eternal bond with the natural world. The series is a testament to the artist’s belief that even in the harshest of circumstances, there is a sanctuary within nature and the stories it holds. The use of vivid colors, delicate brushstrokes, and symbolic imagery invites viewers to step into a realm where reality meets fantasy, and where the search for inner peace is a shared human experience. "Tales of Existence" is not just an aesthetic experience but a meditative one, encouraging viewers to engage in a dialogue about the importance of finding calm within chaos. It underscores the artist’s philosophy that inner peace and stability are not merely the absence of conflict but can be cultivated even amidst turmoil. Through this series, the artist aims to awaken a sense of wonder and reflection, urging viewers to reconnect with the ancient wisdom and the mythical narratives that guide and shape our collective journey. "Tales of Existence" is an invitation to embrace the enchantment of the natural world and the stories it whispers to those who listen. Slumbering Spirit, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova
Located in Zofingen, AG
In the serene stillness of "Slumbering Spirit," part of my contemplative "Thoughts" series, I explore the profound quietude of rest. The painting captures a woman in repose, the very image of tranquility as she lies beneath the delicate branches of a young apple tree, her sleep undisturbed by the world's whispers. The ancient symbols etched upon her shoulder speak of "spirit," hinting at the unseen energy that animates us all, even in our most restful moments. This slumbering form is a sanctuary of peace, her dreams a hidden realm where the spirit roams free. Above her, the apple branches bow gently, a nod to the biblical Eve's apple, symbolizing knowledge, temptation, and the duality of innocence and awareness. It is a fruit laden with the weight of history, yet here it is presented anew, in a light untainted by the past's shadows. This work is an invitation to pause, to reflect on the spirit within and the nature that surrounds us, to find the sacred in the everyday. "Slumbering Spirit" is a celebration of the inner quiet that nourishes the soul and a recognition of the profound narratives that sleep can tell. ABOUT ARTIST: Tetiana Pchelnykova...

Serenity of Essence, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova
Located in Zofingen, AG
In my latest work from the 'Thoughts' series, titled 'Serenity of Essence', I once again delve into the profound world of feminine reflections. On this 60x80 cm canvas, painted with acrylics, I depicted a seated young woman with a cat resting beside her. This image creates an atmosphere of tranquility and deep contemplation, characteristic of my series. The background of the painting reveals a view of hills and trees, the leaves of which are adorned with ornaments, adding sophistication to the composition. The symbol of infinity on the woman's shoulder is not just decorative; it symbolizes the endlessness of existence and unity with nature. The flowers and grasses in the meadow are depicted symbolically and graphically, creating a visual rhythm that engages and leads the viewer through various levels of perception. 'Serenity of Essence' is not just a painting; it is my perspective on feminine self-discovery and inner harmony. This canvas is an invitation for viewers to feel at one with nature, find peace in their thoughts, and discover the deep symbols of feminine existence. In this work, I once again demonstrate my vision and ability to transform philosophical themes into visual metaphors that resonate with the soul ABOUT ARTIST: Tetiana Pchelnykova...

This piece from her "Existence" series carries the magic of intuitive understanding of the feminine essence, intertwined with themes of eternity, self-identification, and a deep connection with nature. Young girl lying in the grass-21st Century Contemporary Triptych Figure Painting
By Eric Schutte
Located in Nuenen, Noord Brabant
Introduction to Eric Schutte A publication in the art magazine 'Atelier', made us aware of his work. Very special we found his paintings, square-air paintings where the influences of the weather, the light to a special touch and a very colorful whole. Versatile What we do, when we see an artist's work that appeals to us, is to search for other work. This also applies to Eric. His website taught us that he is very versatile. In addition to paintings, Eric has found a special way of design. With waste plastic, iron and other material he makes the most special installations, commissioned, but also free work. An appointment was made quickly! Eric Schutte lives and works in Ommen, his studio is next to a beautiful mill. At the time of visit it is cold, there is some frozen snow and it is almost dark when I arrive. In the studio it is immediately clear that Eric is busy with everything. Mountains with tubes of oil paint, different donkeys with semi-manufactured paintings, a particularly large pile of waste plastic. Eric is an enthusiastic narrator, besides being an artist, he is a drawing teacher for a few days a week. I can imagine how he knows how to enthuse his students! Eric talks about special assignments that constantly lead to new ideas and new 'free works'. (The free work Eric likes to call 'research'.) For example, a cow, at De Brink in Ommen, produced Eric on behalf of the municipality. He made the cow out of iron. Old iron from all farmers in the immediate vicinity of Ommen. With this old iron he constructed a cow, the iron is particularly visible, but also the cow. Very clever! Environments Eric takes me enthusiastically to his work. The paintings, classical in origin, made with elegant imagination, and the images, beautiful and simple at the same time, and therefore also stimulating to look better. With these paintings Eric is always looking for the edge, during the opening exhibition we have a special work from him. Is it a 6-part, or are it 6 separate paintings of a railway crossing where a train is passing by? Anyway, you keep looking at it. Eric tells about this when I pick up the work: "I see something then, and then I want something with it, and this is it. Yes, otherwise I can not explain it ". Another and special piece during the opening exhibition is also by Eric Schutte. A calf made from almost 2000 yellow ear tags of slaughtered calves and iron. Particularly plastic and very lifelike. Eric Schutte is an artist who makes both conceptual and classical work. Eric himself about this: "The conceptual work consists of a figurative design in which the non-obvious use of materials is part of the imagination. The concept also plays a major role in classical work, but the material (use) is more traditional. I consider making images as a continuous game and research in which the idea and the design are equal and influence each other ". The opening exhibition and the work of Erik that we have kept in stock has been sold for a large part. Particularly enthusiastic and enthusiastic are people who see his work. During the exhibition 'Naar buiten!' We show new work by this special artist. Acrylic paintings made in the snow, outside in the cold. Also a number of works of waste plastic. The artist tells about his painting of a forest made from waste plastic: We make a waste mountain from nature, I make nature from waste again. The work is called biotope, our living environment. Nature, but at the same time, our environment is plastic. If later excavations are made to this time, the main thing that is found will be plastic. We live in the plastic age.
