The central figure, a youthful, semi-nude hunter adorned with a green drape and quiver, appears to be Cephalus, a figure from Greek mythology, known for his tragic love story with Procris. He reclines in a landscape setting, interacting with an attendant and cherubs. One cherub holds a bow, while another ascends into the sky with a burning torch—possibly symbolizing fate, divine will, or a transition between earthly and celestial realms. A majestic eagle, often associated with Zeus or fate, perches nearby, reinforcing the mythological weight of the scene.
