About the Item
Arrigo Ghedini: 1905-1997. Listed Italian, American artist who is highly collected. His paintings rarely become available on the open market as collectors hold onto them. He just had one come up for Auction in 2023 that sold for over $3000. He was born into a wealthy family in Italy, but always wanted to become an artist. He moved to New York City with his wife sometime in the 1950s. One of his favorite subject matters was Don Koti, as in this powerful painting. In the foreground, you have Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. In the background, you can see Dulcinea, and a castle. The painting measures 9 inches high by 7 inches wide and is an oil and or enamel on Masonite board. The original frame measures 14 inches high by 12 inches wide. The painting is signed upper left hand corner, and also on the back of the painting.
