Silveira painted from an early age, studying with prominent Provençale artists including Pierre Ambrogiani. At the age of sixteen, he began showing his work professionally, evolving a style that combined contemporary techniques and forms with strong, expressive color. Silveira favors figural subjects with a particular emphasis on the female figure and maternal themes. Since 1997, the artist has made his home in California.
