Olio su tela. Scuola italiana del XVII-XVIII secolo.
Maria e il Bambin Gesù, in piedi sulle sue ginocchia, sono raffigurati già nella gloria dei cieli, con angioletti accanto.
Peculiari sono la collana e i braccialetti di corallo portati dal Bambino: nella simbologia cristiana il colore di tale materiale rappresenta il sangue che Gesù dovrà versare; peraltro sin dai tempi antichi, il corallo era considerato anche un talismano di protezione contro il malocchio e le forze del male, e se ne adornava i bambini piccoli per proteggerli dal maligno.
Il dipinto è in prima tela e presentato in cornice antica coeva.
