About the Item
Netherlandish School XVIII Century Monogrammed Old Master Oil Painting
An intriguing oil painting of early extraction depicting the crucifixion at Calvary outside Jerusalem. I am selling this as an 18th century painting although its origins could be much earlier. Signed with a monogram, painted on a wooden panel, probably poplar wood and presented in a stylish frame with carved palmate leaf decoration.
Condition
Generally in good order, but requires good lighting to fully appreciate. The photographs were taken in direct sunlight. Small amount of “treated” woodworm to the panel. The paint is a little thin in places and there are one or two minor scuffs.
