Ventura works with a nostalgic figuration, where pigment is used as an instrument to construct parallel narratives. In his case, painting not only represents, but gives life to the image. His work evokes a fictional universe in which architecture comes alive, approaching the image as a generator of narratives throughout art history. He engages with the visual poetics of Urbano Lugrís and focuses on the always dreamlike irony of buildings like the skyscraper, discussed by Madelon Vriesendorp in "Flagrant Délit," while analyzing how architectures acquire meanings and dimensions over time. The pictorial surface in Ventura's work is a testing ground where the imaginary is disrupted and transformed into reality.
