About the Item
In this painting, the focus is on authenticity and self-confidence, emphasizing the idea of authenticity as a unique and valuable trait. The central figure, a large-profiled girl, symbolizes a person who has fully embraced her identity. Her floral tattoo, extending from her shoulder to her neck, represents inner blossoming—an expression of her personal growth. The tattooed flowers suggest a connection between inner strength and the creativity that flourishes outward.
The girl wears a helmet with a transparent visor covering her face up to her nose, symbolizing protection without concealing her true self. This helmet does not limit her vision; instead, it invites her to look upward, toward the horizon, representing her aspiration to achieve her dreams and goals with confidence. The phrase "You are a limited edition" reinforces this idea, reminding us that each individual is irreplaceable—no one else can be who we are, because we are unique.
The graffiti-style background, filled with vibrant colors and spray paint, reflects the chaos and dynamism of the modern world. Amidst all that noise, the female figure stands out as a reminder that, in an environment saturated with expectations and external influences, true strength lies in staying true to ourselves. The pink strokes zigzagging across the painting suggest the unexpected twists of life, while the text at the bottom, "You are unique," serves as a statement of authenticity.
The bold colors and graffiti technique add energy and rebellion, highlighting that being authentic often means breaking away from conventions and letting go of stereotypes to be truly free. The helmet and the dynamic strokes create a balance between protection and freedom, reinforcing the message that being unique is not only admirable but essential for living a fulfilling life.
This description underscores the value of authenticity and individuality, connecting each visual element to a clear message of self-acceptance and confidence.

Heaven's Gate, Jazz Bardo. Mixed Media Contemporary Neo-Classicism
By Sax Berlin
Located in Brecon, Powys
Bardol Thodol literally means liberation through hearing and comes from The Tibetan Book of the Dead. Bardo is the transitional state between death & rebirth. Lovers of jazz and music in general will be all too aware of how one can be transported to this suspended state when listening to music. This state is expressed beautifully in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, and here we quote directly from it
"remember the clear light, the pure clear white light...............Let go into the clear light, trust it, merge with it. It is your own true nature".

From GUCCI in Wonderland series
GUCCI in Wonderland series contains two parts.
First one, GUCCI in wonderland, is an inspiration that came to John Paul Fauves after doing a 10 piece collection of some Alessandro Michele art campaigns.
There was so much magic realism in the GUCCI brand and concept that transcended from being a clothing label to something more surreal. It is here when the artist decides to give a hold to his new collection for 2018 named "holy exit" and dive into this new world of colors and wonders.
The second part, Alice in Wonderland, represents the artist a world of fantasy and dreams. It seems as if the author Lewis Caroll could write like a dream.
The same concept of surrealism is what FAUVES feels about Gucci design and branding. It as if Gucci can design and create form the world of dreams, and this is what the artist wants to represent in his art GUCCI in wonderland.
ABOUT John Paul FAUVES:
John Paul Fauves (born in 1980) is a contemporary Artist from Costa Rica . His artistic journey started at a very young age after he became a student of Joaquin Rodriguez del Paso , one of the most important Costa Rican modern art tutors. John Paul spent 15 years studying and mastering his technique, and only a few years ago he finally started showcasing his work.
In his paintings he engages questions of identity as they relate to art history as well as our everyday interactions with mainstream culture and social media. Greatly inspired by modernist masters as wellas pop-artists, Fauves mixes fragments of different iconic images in vivid and colourful compositions. Of his experimental and high eclectic style, he says, “art is an expression from the soul, and the soul is somethinglimitless. This is why I am always searching for different elements to bring into the work.”
