Virginie Schroeder
Come Together: The Beatles Story - Large Figurative Abstract 3D Blue Painting

2024

About the Item

Playing with the interaction between positive and negative space, strong colors on neutral backgrounds, Canadian artist Virginie Schroeder creates pop art portraits and iconic pop culture imagery that defy traditional pictorial representation. She works from the ground up, adding several layers of thick acrylic paint on canvas until she is able to carve out colorful, undulating portraits filled with emotion as well as recognizable dynamic objects filled with movement. Her work is playful and poetic, constructing the famous visages of notable public figures and familiar popular objects. One step closer and her work is abstract. A step back and an iconic likeness appears. This large, original 54-inch square pop portrait artwork depicting the Beatles is wired and ready to hang. The sides of the artwork are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. Dynamic 3D lines unveil shifting hues from every angle, a kaleidoscope of color. It is signed by the artist on the front of the painting. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Virginie Schroeder is an innovative artist based in Quebec, Canada. Her paintings are made to inspire new artistic visions while impressing with their stunning technicality. When a face, an animal, a landscape, or any other subject is removed from its linear structure, it acquires a completely different form, a new identity, and dimension. One does not recognize it at first sight; it emerges as the very process of observation. It is here that the magic occurs, as the viewer consciously discovers a work of abstract character in vivid color which plays upon the tension between the figurative and the imaginary. Virginie Schroeder seeks an unstructured, new, and yet popular vision, and hopes to awaken our senses in the search for her works. Her one-of-a-kind artworks have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including Hong Kong, New York, and Los Angeles. Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Virginie Schroeder's original artworks since 2018. Imagine The Dream - Impasto Thick Paint Original Portrait Artwork
By Cynthia Coulombe Bégin
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Coulombe-Bégin's dynamic acrylic on canvas works seek to produce a metamorphic interpretation of the artist's inner identity. Her paintings make ample use of contrasting colors to create exuberance and energy in her images. Inspired by street art, Coulombe Bégin 's paintings range from the abstract to the surreal and employ a variety of techniques and materials. Her contemporary artworks draw inspiration from body image, the universally recognizable symbol of hearts, and the experience of humankind. She brings a sensitivity to her work that stems from her exploration of identity and the joy and happiness of existence. Coulombe-Bégin draws us into her internal world: exploring the soul and matter, conscience, and the modern universe. This original figurative pop art painting measures 40 inches square. The thickly textured paint is applied with tactile brushwork. It is wired and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are painted black and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Coulombe-Bégin’s work portrays from colorful hearts to specific parts of the human body, especially large close-up portrayals of the mouth and eyes, which are depicted with great contrasts of color and chiaroscuro. These symbols are constructed with specific gestures and drippings in which Coulombe-Bégin expresses an abstract universe full of movement, symbolism, and eroticism. Born in Miami, Coulombe-Bégin grew up in Quebec City where she earned a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2006 from Laval University. Starting very young, her parents focused a great deal on both the arts and athletics which helped her develop her own mode of expression. “I am particularly interested in the fragmented corporal shell, which I emphasize through spontaneous movement and vivid colors.” stated Coulombe-Bégin. “My experience with painting has led me to see things differently, to self-discovery and to great astonishment." Coulombe-Bégin's works have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including Canada, the United States, Europe, South America, and Australia.
