About the Item
Polar Express
This painting was painted in delight from seeing a steam engine of a locomotive. The power of the emitted steam, the smell of coal and the beauty of snow-covered perennial spruce trees create magic and some special comfort. The movement in the painting is unhurried, slow. The weight of the locomotive and the hanging branches of the spruce trees create heaviness in the painting, causing a feeling of security, intimacy. Traveling through a snowy forest with a cup of strong tea with a croissant and a newspaper, what could be better?
