About the Item
This painting is about misty light and hope and the beauty of early morning with the light already coming through... the promise of a new day and a new chance in life! A landscape can be a landscape or a metaphor for inner feelings and emotions.... I love the beautiful traces and marks that come from this mixed media watercolor technique, the painting done in very thin color layers that make the light shine through. Due to metallic pigments in some parts, the painting will shine and sparkle when hit by light in the right angle, just as nature does. Painted while I was on residency at Kunsthaus Stove, Baltic Sea. 100x100 cm, handmixed gouache, silver pigments and eggtempera on gallery wrapped canvas, sides painted white, hook on the back. Signed on the back and Certificate of Authenticity. Comes unframed, the frames are just examples what it could look like.
