I was especially drawn to Crystal Cove for its unique combination of scenic beauty and recreational activities. One of the highlights of painting Crystal Cove was capturing the charming, old-world atmosphere of the beach cottages that line the shore. These cottages, with their weathered wood and colorful shutters, add character and history to the landscape and make for an interesting subject to paint.
