The rocky shores of my island home on the west coast of Canada yield many ways in which nature can be the trigger for abstraction. The viewer is drawn into a tangled web of earth-toned shapes reminiscent of beach rocks overlaid with leafless trees. This large, abstract piece needs a feature wall to do justice to its strong shapes and rich earth tones. Signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging.
