About the Item
The painting depicts a fragment of an interior. The protagonist is absent, but we can assume that this is his resting place. And he has just left. We see a disassembled bed with a laptop lying on it, illuminating the entire space with neon light. There are a crumpled pillow, a wall with a hanging picture, objects standing on the nightstands: a lamp with a lampshade in the Art Nouveau style, a cup, books. A corner of the window peeking out from behind the curtain is a coloristic contrast to the general neon coloring. It has become dark outside, the lanterns are lit, thanks to which the view acquires an ochre-orange hue. Through the branches of a tree we also see a glowing window in the house opposite. In general, this cold-fluorescent lighting of the laptop plus the shadows cast by the objects give the painting a mystical hue.

Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
