Bath time, Vacation on the Happy Island series

2024

About the Item

You will receive this painting stretched, with painted edges and completely ready for hanging. Framing is not obligatory and depends only on your preference. This series of works aims to reveal the theme of carefree relaxation, enjoyment and happiness in life. The animals live in an idealistic, beautiful world where there are no problems, difficulties, or challenges. The atmosphere is filled with festivity, lively blossoming, joy and lightness. The artist tried to satisfy her own desire for tranquility, peace and well-being. She created a small world where the only concerns of the characters are beauty and pleasure. The colors of the paintings are pure, open and bright to emphasize the positive mood of the characters. The style is naive and sincere. The artist did not want to answer complex questions or reveal deep concepts. She simply wanted to take a break from the anxious routine and constant feeling of danger of the war. She wanted to transport herself and the viewer to moments of leisurely joy and simple living. ABOUT ARTIST Olha Vlasova is a Ukrainian artist who has been passionate about painting since childhood. She received her higher art education in painting and costume design, which heavily influenced her work. Ornamentation also plays a significant role in her art. Olha experiments with various techniques and materials, but she finds that acrylics offer boundless possibilities for imagination and exploration. As a professional artist, Olha is deeply committed to exploring the themes of female sexuality and self-worth. Her goal is to illustrate that a woman's appearance does not diminish her importance or autonomy. Olha asserts that a woman's appearance is her choice, not a means to achieve goals at the expense of men. As an artist, Olha focuses her research on conveying the personal experiences of women who encounter condescension and the diminution of their value due to sensitivity and femininity. She conveys that the concepts of femininity and seriousness, playfulness and rationality are not mutually exclusive and can coexist. Olha's work actively participates in the discussion on tolerance and the pursuit of creating a safe space for self-expression. She incorporates themes of new sincerity in her work, embodying the desire to be oneself without the fear of encountering mockery, sarcasm, or societal labeling. She has extensive artistic experience, and her works are held in private collections in the USA, Norway, Denmark, France, and Ukraine.

Lipa's awakening Contemporary Figurative Painting on canvas by Natalie Shiporina
Located in Zofingen, AG
The paintings are painted with acrylic paints on canvas. My heroine is a woman in a red dress. The paintings in this series are fascinating to collectors and found a home in many countries. Pop art paintings are loved by many. I also really like to remember funny comic book characters. They all meet with my heroine Lipochka. Pop art paintings are a great opportunity to invest in painting successfully. Original painting by Natalie Shiporina.

Re Vision, Acrylic on Canvas by Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"

Birendra Pani - Re Vision - 66 x 42 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas , 2008 ** Will be delivered in rolled form. Should you want the work in ready to hand condition please contact gallery for freight calculation. In this series of works - “Boy - Dancer”, Gallery Kolkata revisits the artists very popular and well lauded ‘Boy Dancer’ suite of paintings on the plight of traditional Gopitua dancers from his native land, Odisha. The boy dancers who perform a devotional dance ritual are quickly declining in today’s cosmopolitan world. Pani entwines his empathy for the dying art with an opinion on our post-Modern era. In that respect, Pani does not try to create nostalgia for the decline in the taste for the dancers, instead he problematizes the issue by bringing in a dispassionate view of the issue. The ten canvases on display in this exhibition, features the Gopitua dancers in different situations. The canvases are a hyper-real portrait, far & close shots of a Gopitua dancers with liquid innocent eyes and a small smile playing upon his lips as he confronts the viewer. The blade is a recurring motif in Pani’s work and it has multiple functions and meanings. In this instance its meaning is rather clear — one where modernity eclipses tradition. Style : His fresh, perspective and contemporary canvases have loud and vivid images and use colors like green and shocking pink unashamedly. Pani says his works are preoccupied with exploring contemporary materials, culture and current lives of people, the negligence of local places, their culture, history, memory and their identity in present times. Further he feels the consumerist attitude has penetrated deep into the human psyche. Human beings are being consumed by the commodity rather than them consuming it. In his works, Pani explore the struggles, contradictions, dichotomies and critical reflections of the embodied selves with changes in value, knowledge and culture in our present society. “I have extensively used body parts like brain, heart and other organs, and everyday objects like capsule, syringe, blade etc to create a new visual language. Deriving from life experiences, my idea is to create a new vision by the juxtaposition of the above experience with the rich legacy, diverse visual culture and sensibility of the vast tradition of Odisha’s miniatures and Pata paintings, stone carvings, monumental visuals of temples and dance forms like Gopitua dance and Chhau-dance in Odisha.” Pani, thus attempts to create a new phenomenology and the reinvention of ‘self’ in a globalized and yet very localized world.
