In crafting this vibrant canvas, I've swirled together the whimsy of pop art, the depth of expressionism, and the delicate touch of impressionism. My brush danced with acrylics and oils, flirting with pastels and pencils, to breathe life into this dreamscape of koi fish frolicking among autumn leaves. As these lively creatures ripple across the surface, they bring an energy, a sense of growth and transformation that is meant to invigorate any space with their enduring spirit.
The painting was selected and exhibited at the Biennale "MARINA 2023", which takes place every 2 years on the shores of the Baltic Sea in the beautiful city of Jurmala, Latvia.
