About the Item

Artist Comments
This painting captures a hillside view of a castle and church in Ronda, Spain. The soft brushwork gives the scene a luminous glow, with shadows falling across the foreground and the structures bright in the afternoon sun. Framed by distant mountains and surrounded by verdant countryside, the landscape recalls the golden light of spring and summer on the Costa del Sol.

About the Artist
Artist Sherri Aldawood paints from memory and experiences, capturing moments to forge a deeper connection with a place or a person. She portrays her subjects through delicate brushwork and a strong connection to how sunlight falls on them. "Observing and painting from life is crucial to my creative process, as my job is to edit and expand on the world as I see and offer my unique perspective," says Sherri. Her artwork centers around floral and feminine themes, often combining both in one composition. She draws inspiration from on-location insights and photographs, utilizing fundamental artistic elements to express her emotional connection to each piece. Her home studio provides a functional space where she listens to music while creating art. In her spare time, Sherri attends to family matters and engages in daily activities like cooking and housework.

Rainy Night in Paris. Cafe de Consulate, Oil Painting
By Stanislav Sidorov
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
As part of his cityscape series, artist Stanislav Sidorov exhibits a street in Montmartre, Paris, after the rain. Couples go out on romantic dates outside the busy Le Consulat. Colorful puddles reflect the streetlights and animate the festive scene. Stanislav beautifully details the distinctive European architecture with a palette knife.

About the Artist
Stanislav Sidorov saturates his canvas with the expressive color characteristic of the Russian Realist School. While he is a versatile painter, Stanislav prefers painting the small town charms found in architecture and urban environments. He achieves a textured feel by using the pallet knife to apply copious amounts of emotion.
