A large and atmospheric mid-century composition captures the enchanting ambiance of nightfall, executed in oil onto canvas.
Resting upon a window sill is with a vase of delicate flowers and a bowl of pears. The curtains by the window billow gently in the breeze, as we a pleasantly greeted with a view of a luminous full moon against the deep midnight blue sky. Amidst the serene setting, an indistinguishable figure in white stands outside the window holding what appears to be a bouquet, their presence adding an air of mystery and intrigue to the composition.
The artist’s brushstrokes are meticulous and carefully detailed to evoke a serene atmosphere., and he has skilfully captured the interplay of light and shadow in this enigmatic painting.
This large oil on canvas is housed in a beautiful wood frame with visible grain and with an outer gilt border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has very minor scuffs.
