About the Item
Mexican-American contemporary visual artist and celebrated architect Javier Arizmendi-Kalb created this abstract painting with bold brush stokes creating strong visual zest and appeal on a small scale. The artist often creates autobiographical paintings that are comprised of both abstract and representational elements that consider the natural world as it intersects with utilitarian and architectural design. 'No Me Llores Mas' in multicolors is 14 X 11 inches. Professionally framed in museum quality whote ash wood.
The original work of art is a texturally rich oil paint on wood. Artist signed, titled and dated Verso. Condition as new and excellent. Perfect on its own or hanging with other paintings from the series.
Javier Arizmendi-Kalb grew up in Mexico City, where he learned to paint at young age from a group of landscape painters which included his grandfather, Marcos Kalb. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1986 with a degree in engineering and art history, receiving the Ames Fine Arts Award. In 1991 he completed an MA in Architecture with distinction at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
