About the Item

Katrina Revenaugh Piccolo Giardino Numero 3 Archival Pigment Ink, Acrylic, Spray Paint and Gold Leaf on Birch Panel Year: 2024 Size: 6 x 6 x 1.75 inches Signed: On Verso COA provided Piccolo Giardino Numero 3 combines graffiti with botanicals in the most unexpected approach. Small, but impactful, works in this collection feature, blooms, butterflies, bees and street art ephemera in delicate spring vingnettes. All elements become individual drawings. Colors from decaying graffiti walls become my palette. Imagery is physically burnished into the surface of the panel in multiple stages intertwined with acrylic, pigment ink, spray paint and gold leaf to form a composed work of art that is uniquely individual blending nature with the urban landscape. Each work is meticulously finished with hand-painted gold leaf elements, illuminating the delicate features of blooms and botanical contours. The sides of the panels are adorned with a radiant gold leaf treatment, lending a luminous quality to each piece.
