Mellow Summer Afternoon, Polgrean,
This painting was always about drinking in up one of those heavenly summer days. Days which you wish would go on for a bit longer. Summer fruit is piled up in grocers, beautifully scented , flowers are everywhere and the afternoon is mellow. It all unwinds you. This is in my studio which looks out on to an olive tree which in the summer light looks even more silvery.
