About the Item
I visited Copenhagen in 2019 and was amazed by Nyhavn, the city's landmark, full of restaurants, ships and people. The colorful historic houses are happily reflected in the dancing surface of the water. Blue sky, yellow, blue, orange houses, white boats... All of this gives the festive impression.
In my work I have used vibrant oil paints to capture the vibrant essence of an urban harbor view.
The impressionistic brushwork brings an energetic texture that brings to life the shimmering play of light on the water and the historic facades. It symbolizes the timeless connection between man and nature and adds a comforting atmosphere of harmonious dynamism to any room in which it is placed.
If desired, the sides can be painted with a dark color. At the buyer's request, the work can be framed for an additional charge.

This work will be recorded in the catalogue raisonné of the work of the artist currently in preparation. Jules Van Biesbroeck was the son of Jules Evariste van Biesbroeck, a painter of Ghent, but was born in Italy, in Portici, near Naples, while his parents were staying there. (In the 19th century many artists made educational trips to Italy). It was a long visit: the child was two years old by the time the family returned to Ghent.[1] After a short period of practice with his father, van Biesbroeck was enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. His first painting, "The Shepherd" (French: Le pâtre), was sold at the Triennale in Ghent. - Winter SceneBy Walter Launt PalmerLocated in New York, NYIn this prototypical oil painting, Walter Launt Palmer's title as "the painter of the American winter" can be vividly and brilliantly seen. As an impressionist painter that emerged at the turn of the 20th century, Palmer took great interest in the picturesque American landscape, though he particularly focused on the rendering of this landscape glistening with snow.
