About the Item

CARLA TALOPP "Jungle III" Acrylic on Canvas 85.5 x 94.5 in. (Kakemono Hanging System) Carla Talopp’s work is a celebration of the power and beauty of life. Reflecting a feminine, lively, sensual nature, her cross-disciplinary practice reveals a plurality of forms. Nourished by the work of 20th century artist Sonia Delaunay and her revolutionary abstract experimentation, Carla pursued an education in the visual arts at ESAG Penninghen (Paris) and at the Rhode Island School of Design. Through drawing, painting and ceramics, she explores environmental concerns and a rapidly changing world while echoing her personal history. Working in large formats, she measures herself against the vastness of her canvases, leading to the liberation of the painted forms and to bright, exacerbated colors that appear luxuriant and surreal. Carla Talopp's art transports and moves as boundaries are blurred between the realistic and the fantastical: whether they are teeming jungles or sparkling sea-beds, these painted worlds reflect the artist's real understanding of the future of nature and its ecosystems.

  • Aradhana-22, Acrylic on Canvas Red by Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"
    Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Anil Kumar Yadav - Aradhana-22 - 72 x 48 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas STYLE : Anil Kumar Yadav is an Artist from Kolkata who was born in 1984 a village in Uttar Pradesh. He grew up among villagers with modest lives and the village culture. The Rangolis at the village festival and the local potters’ fine works of art inspired him greatly towards art as a hobby and potential career from early childhood. His father was then posted to Kolkata so their family relocated to the city. Once the capital of India, with its rich cultural heritage and character immediately caught my attention. He started painting for the first time in the city. Since the central theme to his paintings is related to present day society, his works appear photographic or naturalistic. The religious ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar and other antique places attracted him for their cultural heritage characterised by the holy saints, antique architectures, old idol sculptures and mysticism, spirituality. So he portrayed the simplicity of the architectural doors, temples, sculptures and the beautiful narrow streets and ‘galis’ which holds beauty that can not be described in words. He always prefers a highly realistic approach in his paintings for whatever he sees in his surroundings. He started to represent paintings in a form whose expression manifests a step ahead of photography. He has always tried to reach to a horizon where photography cannot reach and make a statement what is called hyperrealism. • A Walk in the Rose Garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco, Diptych, Original art
    By Mary Chaplin
    Located in Deddington, GB
This work was inpired by the memory of a pleasant walk with friends to discover Princess Grace’s rose garden in Monaco. I wanted to grab the moment capturing the sun, the colors and the perfumes, a potpourri of happiness where one immerses oneself in the well being that such a place offers. The large size of the diptych makes you want to enter the place. The old olive tree has been simplified, its foliage and the sky are one, so it looks like a sentinel watching over the roses. Convinced by the positive impact that nature has on the quality of our lives, through my art, I wish to transmit this myriad of beneficent feelings. This work is made with high quality acrylic paint on top quality linen canvas. Additional Information: 'A walk in the rose garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco...
