Artist Bio:
Dorothy Marootian (1921-2015) was an artist known for her depictions of surf, sea, desert, canyon, and sky, which are infused with grace, humor, and vitality.
Born in Connecticut in 1921, Marootian grew up in New Haven and lived in Pasadena during the 1940s. She received a BFA from Cooper Union in New York City and traveled extensively throughout the USA, Europe, Asia, and Mexico.
