Beautiful desert canyon landscape of Black Canyon, Arizona featuring Adobe home in foreground by Claire McAnear (American, 1989 - 1986), 1945. Presented in aged gilt-toned wood frame.
Signed "C. McAnear", dated '45, lower left corner and on verso.
Frame, 18.5"H x 14.5"W x 1"D.
Image size: 16"H x 12"W.
Claire McAnear was born in California on April 8, 1898. McAnear was a long-time resident of Monterey. She worked as a real-estate developer while in her leisure sculpting and painting. She exhibited at the Kingsley Art Club from 1937 - 1946. She died in Monterey, CA on Dec. 29, 1986.
