About the Item
this painting was completed following a visit to the Isle of Skye, the atmospheric light and mist inspire me to work in a very loose and soft approach. The mist and wet weather make the land dance with light and drift across the landscape like a soft blanket. I like to use blues and greens including green/black and Prussian blue as they are so dramatic. It is painted on a pure raw linen canvas and is on a deep edge support, it is unframed for you to choose the frame of your choice.

Elaine Fox - Artist - Painter Elaine Fox's work is available for sale online or in our gallery at Wychwood Art. I love being in nature and concentrate on using paint as a vehicle to convey the intimacy of my surroundings and the sense of belonging and affinity with landscape. The landscape drives me to capture atmosphere when I am in wild places and I use these feelings and experiences in a very loose and ephemeral way to create my own personal view of the landscape. Most of my work is completed in the studio after drawing and painting outdoors.
