Signed Ernst Gunnar Widholm (1882 - 1953). Vivid sunset color explosion in the coastal green opening reveals sacred action of the mythological reality: beautiful bacchantes taking care of little satyrs. These “cubs” just hate it! Such a fantasy was adopted in modern art by acknowledged E. G. Widholm - Swedish painter, draftsman and graphic artist. Oil painting on pressed paperboard, signed, framed. Size app.: 16.8 x 13.3 cm (roughly 6.6 x 5.2 in), frame is 21.8 x 18.2 cm (roughly 8.6 x 7.2 in). Very good ready to hang condition, minimal wear. Please study good resolution images for cosmetic condition. In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment.
