Maître Florence Metgé is a French painter. She was born in 1952 in French Algeria. She then lived in different countries: France, Indonesia then several African countries, including 12 years spent in Ivory Coast. These stays abroad, in contact with local artists, have forged his style: material, design and colors. Florence Metgé studied technique with teachers of Fine Arts in Abidjan as well as with traditional artisans. She completed this study by obtaining two degrees at La Sorbonne: one in Art History and the other in Aesthetics. She wrote two dissertations: Contemporary Art in Ivory Coast and Ma-miWata in West Africa. Co-author of: Lobi Monumentales miniatures published by Toguna (2015) Currently, his workshop is located in the south of the Cévennes.
