This interesting cityscape painting is by Frederick Reimers (USA - 1911-1994) and named at the back "Bklyn Transfer - East River Crossing."
If you look from here, you can see the Brooklyn Bridge stretching over the East River. You can also spot boats floating in the distance, and there are several industrial buildings scattered along the skyline. The artwork is signed in the bottom right corner by F. Reimers. There is a mark at the back with a paper label with the painter's information.
The artwork still has its original giltwood frame.

About:
Frederick E. Reimers was born in New York City in 1911 and passed away in Westfield, NJ, on May 22, 1994, where he had resided for 34 years.
Before retiring in 1976, he was a chemical engineer for 16 years for Amstar Co. in New York City. Before that, he was a chemical engineer for Merck & Co. in Rahway for 15 years. He was also a ceramics teacher at the Westfield Recreation Department for 15 years.
Mr. Reimers was a local artist who belonged to numerous art groups – The Westfield Art Association, the Somerset Art Association, and the Milburn-Short Hills Art Center.
